Yet another two movies from the past being "re-imagined". Why can't Hollywood do anything ORIGINAL anymore?
Pajiba is reporting that one thing that I had hoped would never get off the ground and one thing I hadn't heard of yet, may in fact still happen. Just further evidence that Hollywood has apparently run it's course, with the major picture houses seemingly unable to come up with anything original these days, while independent film makers continue to shine with some downright amazing cinema. read more »

And thus, my final full day at IBM is drawing to a close, and I'm ready to go. I've cleaned out my desk, my cubicle, my drawers, cabinets and so forth. I've cared home 6 years of my life, which, ironically fit in three shopping bags. I've sent off my final farewell e-mails, gathered a list of contacts for references, and said goodbye to the people I've worked with. On my impending expiration...

Most days, anymore, this is exactly how I feel. Not that I'm all emo and depressed... just meloncholy. There's so much going on right now that I feel so incredibly overwhelmed and just need some time to myself to think, sort things out, and just try to have a little fun. Yeah, I need to work on an attitude adjustment, but like the dog, it seems that it just keeps raining and raining sometimes. As the year starts off, yet another actor from my childhood has died. Wednesday, Ricardo Montalban passed away at the age of 88. Mr. Montalban had a long and storied career on stage and screen. He played a couple of great characters on Hawaii 5-0, first as a crooked Japanese businessman, and later as a crazy and narcissistic Spanish race car driver. He also starred in a run of Chrysler commercials back in the 80s, and as the title points out, was the great Mr. Roarke, hosting guests on Fantasy Island. read more »
