When I first head of this, I really thought it was going to be a horrible mashup of the Emilio Estevez cult classic Repo Man and the equally cultish and horrifying Repo! The Genetic Opera. But after seeing the new red band trailer for the coming Jude Law / Forrest Whitaker movie Repo Men, I can't help but get kinda warm and excited inside.... and fearful for my liver, which I swear is mine. The trailer is red banded, so you have to provide your age to view it... but it looks like it'll be a gut grabbing good time.

Pajiba is reporting that one thing that I had hoped would never get off the ground and one thing I hadn't heard of yet, may in fact still happen. Just further evidence that Hollywood has apparently run it's course, with the major picture houses seemingly unable to come up with anything original these days, while independent film makers continue to shine with some downright amazing cinema.  read more »

Today, I received some very sad news via the community based news site Digg. This weekend, Gerard Rocco Damiano passed away after complications from a stroke. He was 80.

What's that? You don't know who that is? Maybe his alias, Jerry Gerard rings a bell. No? Ok... how about Linda Lovelace? Jerry Gerard was the pseudonym for Gerard Rocco Damiano, the man who brought to life the quintessential bad 70's porn. Yes, you know it now. You know the movie of which I speak.
