It's just after 3:00 am and I should be in bed. I'm not, however. In fact, I just got in. I stayed up late to catch the midnight showing of Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull at Southpoint tonight. I've gotta say, it was simply amazing, in my fanboy opinion at least. It has thrills, chills, laughs, action, adventure. It has EVERYTHING that makes Indiana Jones moves so great.

It's been a beautiful Saturday afternoon. I am sitting right now at the little town park in Pittsboro, having just finished a tasty Andy's cheeseburger and onion rings. I sit here, sipping my iced tea watching two girls play on the sing set, their mothers pushing them and chatting amongst themselves. MSN is running a story right now hinting that Emma Watson may not be onboard for the final movies in the Harry Potter series.

According to the article, Order of the Phoenix is filming now, but she is unsure if she will continue on for the rest of the movies. Rupert Gint (Ron) and Daniel Radcliffe (Harry) seem to be set to do the rest of the films but Emma is still not sure.

Personally, I think it would kill the franchise to replace someone as central as Hermione at this point. It was diffcult replacing Dumbledore, but as his parts in the movies are small, the effect was not as dramatic as replacing any of the three central characters would be.  read more »

So I just got back in from Snakes on a Plane, and I have to say that it was one of the top 5 of my all time best experiences at a movie theater!!

The movie was bad. Deliciously bad. The bad guy was over the top and Sam Jackson was... well, Sam Jackson in all his motherfucking glory! He starts off doing what he does best, and just does not stop!

The movie has plenty of exitement, a few moments that made me jump, or at least twitch, and just plain fun fun fun! Why, you ask? What makes a movie fun? The audience. There are some movies in which I want everyone to just shut up and let me watch in peace, but this is one of those movies that requires the audience to yell, clap and cheer. We cheered when the hot slutty chick got bit right on the boob! We cheered when the guy in the lavatory took a snake bite on the johnson then whipped around with a snake hanging from his tool.  read more »

HAPPY SNAKES ON A FRIDAY!!!

The movie premiered at many places last night at 10PM, but I wont get to see it until this evening at 8:40 :(

But thats ok.

Snakes on a Plane is HERE and I am wearing my offical SoaMFP shirt to mark the occasion.

And it is actually getting good reviews. Who knows? This campy B-rate action/horror/internet meme may well live up to the hype after all.

And even if it does not, it's still got Samuel MFn Jackson, Snakes, AND A PLANE!!!

First, there was the movie Snakes on a Plane, and people scoffed at how rediculous the premise of the movie was. Then a private pilot discovered his very own Snake on a Plane as he was flying over the mountains of West Virginia and I brought it to your attention here.

Now, I bring to you yet another Snake on a Plane! story.

This one comes from the Dutch, where Dutch Customs officials discovered a poisonous snake on a plane that had just landed, having arrived from Hong Kong. It appears that someone had ordered a mail order viper from HK and it happened to be shipped on that aircraft.  read more »

THIS SITE has a list of the "hidden" categories that google uses to classify videos. You can use these categories to create your own searches by genre instead of just searching for keywords.

Many many years ago, I watched with rapt attention every single episode of Battlestar Galactica. I had toy Vipers and Raiders and would often pretend I was Starbuck or Apollo, fighting the evil Cylons to protect the last of Humanity. So you would think that I would be so very excited about the reincarnation of the Galactica on the Sci-Fi channel.

You would be wrong. In fact, I only watched part of the pilot mini-series, and until this weekend had not bothered to watch a single episode. It just shook me to the core to imagine that Adama was not a grandfatherly type. That Tigh was not a jovial but serious man, and that Starbuck was not a womanizing, gambling, Han Solo type in a fighter.  read more »
