Well, it finally happened. After a year and a half of back and forth, I am finally an official instructor at a place of higer learning. Jeff is officially an adjunct instructor at Central Carolina Community College, and tonight is my first night of class.

To be honest, I am as nervous as a snowman on the train to hell. I've not taught anything in years. Not since I was at Red Hat, teaching the Intro to Linux course as part of the New Hire orientation. But now, starting at 6 PM tonight, I'll be teaching at least 8 bright, shiney faces the ins and outs of Linux.  read more »

Ya know, this year has been a real bitch. So much absolute crap has happened to us that it's been really difficult to not just go ballistic. I've whined a bit about it here, and you must know that in order for me to really whine about something, it really has to be bothering me. Well, things are still the same. We still have the big well pump bill hanging over the head, but at least the Insurance company and the well pump guy are doing SOMETHING. Maybe, just maybe, I'll be able to get out of this with my wallet and bank accounts intact... mostly.

So Dana is out of town. She has been all week, and I've been busy trolling Craigslist for random encounters. Well, not really, but I have been trying to post a lot of our crap on CL to get it out of the house. Some of it is because we could really use the money, but some is just because we have a lot of stuff, dont want a lot of stuff, but don't want to just get rid of it either.  read more »
